IMP Screen Design: Implementation pages
IMP Implementation Website - parents.ccsdtitle1.org
For the implementation phase of my project I am using a Weebly template that I have evaluated with WAVE for accessibility. This is the template for the UPLIFT Session site available at http://parents.ccsdtitle1.org.
I am using vertical navigation that has sub pages listed on sub menus. For each lesson on the site the activities and evaluation for the lesson are the same page as the main lesson. Lessons are broken into sections and the sessions are on the submenu under Session topics, each section of the lesson is a page on the third tier sub menu. Button navigation directly to each lesson is available on the Session topics page and other related pages on the Parent Involvement Website. The lesson components are integrated to assist parents with limited time or familiarity with navigating websites. The basic computer skills lessons will be housed on this website using this template.
The site template was selected to be modern and attractive, the colors and patterns clear, and very similar to the Parent Involvement and other district sites. This similarity emphasizes that the site is a part of and made available by the Title I/Parent Involvement program and is reassuring for parents who are not very comfortable online.
A search box is included on each page. For in-line text/content heavy pages I do not use a decorative header. I have selected a non-serif font for screen viewing and use
or
tags to identify paragraphs with new content. Buttons follow link formatting and text changes color when pages are visited, most links are simple text.
