IMP Screen Design: Implementation pages
IMP Implementation Website - ccis.ccsdtitle1.org
For the implementation phase of my project I am using a Weebly template that I have evaluated with WAVE for accessibility. This is the template for the Internet Safety Lessons as is available at http://ccis.ccsdtitle1.org.
I am using horizontal navigation that has sub pages listed on sub menus. For each lesson on the Internet Safety site the activities and evaluation for the lesson are on sub pages and the main lesson is a page on the top level menu.
The site template was selected to be modern and attractive, the colors and patterns clear, but distinctly different from the Parent Involvement and other district sites.
The header image is decorative and reflects the vision for the site: teaching parents to protect children and themselves online.
On each page to the right of video content I have navigation links or buttons for the activities and/or evaluation for the session.
A description of the video, slide show, and other content is presented in a linear manner following the title <h1>.
A search box is included on each page. For in-line text or content heavy pages I remove the decorative header. I have selected a non-serif font for screen viewing and use <h2> or <p> tags to identify paragraphs with new content. Buttons follow link formatting and text changes color when pages are visited.
