Imp: Internet skills for parents
In EDET 650 I worked to create an internet safety website for parents in the Colleton County School District. While the site has had some success, the evaluation process generated the following opportunities for improvement:
This website will house the design, development, and beta implementation phases of my Instructional Multimedia Project, the final implementation will be available at http://ccis.ccsdtitle1.org and on local broadcast via PRTC Channel 56 and www.CCSDTV.org.
- The website lacks accessibility features for people with disabilities
- Some parents need basic internet skills to enable them to use the website
- Some parents need basic internet/computer skills to help them understand the instruction
- Parents have identified specific concerns not addressed in the basic instruction
- Direct instruction components should be included in District TV Broadcast
